Assuming you are in good health(teeth, gums, stomach, tonsils, sinuses, medical conditions such as diabetes, etc.) , and it is not food related:
Brush/floss your teeth after meals.
Avoid very hot drinks.
Stop smoking.
Chew on some flavored sugarless gum every now and then.
