Medical corps?

i am a british citizen thinking of joining the RAF as a dental officer. do i have to go to dental school or will they train you.
Answer:
You have to go to dental school first, read the RAF careers website:http://www.raf.mod.uk/careers/jobs/denta...
P.S. The medical corps (RAMC) belongs to the army.
Dental school i think, you would have a better chance at getting a job in the RAF as one then!%26quot; Good luck!
It depends if you want to be an assistant or an actual dentist. I think the RAF will train you to be an assistant but you have to be a qualfied dentist if thats what you would like to be in the RAF. Check out the royal air forces website anyway it should tell you everything you need to know on there =]Demz =]
You have to go to dental school but they may fund you through it depending on your circumstances.
You will need to have a dental degree that is recognised by the General Dental Council - ie from any British dental school or certain other schools overseas - the GDC can advise. With said degree you then apply and will be interviewed and tested at a selection board to see if the RAF Dental Branch think you have what they are looking for.It is possible to get a cadetship while at university but this is only available for the final 2 years of the 5 year course and is subject to the above selection procedure and your completing a certain number of years of service once your degree is complete. The cadetship covers tuition fees and you get a decent level of pay while you study. Cadetships are not always available. The Army and RN also have Dental Officers. The chances of being accepted are better when recruitment is low; you could find that the RAF are not recruiting but that the Army are for example.Good luck.
